OK OK! I was not MIA, dead, or eloping. Whatever I was doing I have RISEN AGAIN! Examless, box-laden, and HOME! That's right it is SUMMER for yours truly! I was taking exams and writing papers all week, that's why I wasn't blogging and I'm sorry about the huge gap in posting. Hmmm what happened during the past weekend/week? Nothing much actually. Took four exams, wrote a paper, and packed up my room. I left school Monday afternoon (taking down posters took almost an hour!), which means Nausheena has the room to herself until tomorrow at 11. I spent most of today unpacking boxes so I could actually move through my room. There's still more to unpack, and it's begging to be cleaned too. The carpet is NASTY!
I went to dinner with Momma, Granny, and PawPaw tonight. Then Granny called this one guy who works at Win-Dixie a "little shit" because he was throwing trash from the carts onto the ground. The littering BASTARD! I thought it was funny though. :} I think I want to go to WalMart tomorrow for deodarant, or do I really need it? I also kinda want to die my hair red.... I'm thinking about it man. OH YES! Dah Carrie is home on the third right? John Mayer is THIS SUNDAY? Do we want to go? I want to go, it's in Greensboro so.... let me know. I was wondering where your posts were. Naturally they were lost in blogger limbo! I shoulda known!! Well classes are over, I gave a short and sweet presentation today on Mayan skull racks and heads on poles. Then I took part I of my film final and I actually think I mighta done alright. :) I'm not doing anything else tonight because I don't have to, tomorrow is a reading day so all I'm planning on doing then is writing my Archaeology paper that's due Monday. Then I'll have my four exams to take and I should be home by Monday afternoon if all goes well!
Momma and Granny are coming up this Saturday for more packing. Well I just finished cleaning out my school landfill account. Apparently I was using 1.98 GB and was ranked #14 of 339 students. How's that for using some space?!?! Most of them were MP3 files of course, and since I burnt a lot of those onto CD I went ahead and deleted them. That alone probably brought me down to only 20MB or so. Today is our last Tuesday! And last night was the last time I had to go watch a movie for film class, ahhh bliss. It was nice because our teacher wasn't actually there while we watched the movie, so comments were made and we actually had a pretty good time. The movie, The Story of Qiu Ju, wasn't great but not bad either. Not nearly as crappy as Jungle Fever which I HATED!!! >_< I've pretty much got the week figured out now so let's see... for the rest of today I have Film History, then my radio show until 7. I don't have anymore homework for tomorrow so I can watch TV or read all night! :) Then Wed I have Latin, lunch break, and then Anc Greeks. No sweat classes. Work then Dinner. Thurs (THE LAST DAY) I have Geometry and we're going over the Final, Archaeology and I have a presentation. Lunch. Work. Film History and we're taking part I of the final. THEN NOTHING EXCEPT FINALS THEMSELVES!!!!! Ohhhhh can you feel the sweetness? I rocks to hard for words, I'm telling ya.
Something else that's pretty cool is that the Nascar team is nominated for 5 or so Emmys, YAY FOR DAD!! He said if they when any he's gonna order all of them and that means that my Dad could actually have little Emmy statuettes!!! Man, life can be gooood. I hope it stays this way! :)

Hooray for good weekends and good weeks! I'm just joyous for no reason, and it's sooooooo nice!! I will spread my happy love on to everyone now... [throws out sparkling dust that makes you feel lighthearted and giddy] because I love the WORLD today!!!!!! So much that I am overusing exclamation points but I do that all the time so where's the worry? There is none!!! :D
Today is the last week of classes and I am very happy about that. I finished my take home final for Archaeology yesterday. Mom visited and we moved some of my stuff out of the room. And Beastmaster was an all new and kick ass episode. Let us appreciate good television for a few moments now. Nausheena and I watch the Jamie Kennedy Experiment last night and it was pretty funny, sick, but funny. Too bad we've been missing it all semester but we can say we watched it once now! All I have left at this very moment is an Arch paper, an Arch presentation, and finals! Regular homework no longer counts anymore because we only have THREE DAYS LEFT! That means that I technically don't have and homework for Wed or Thurs night because there are no more classes!!

So far so good. Got to sleep in and was actually in a cheerful mood for the morning. Hell I'm still pretty cheery! Momma is coming to visit today, we're packing up some of my stuff that I don't need here at school anymore. Only one week of classes left, and then finals. Then I'll be gone from here for a whole year! It's weird to think about, so let's not. I have this FotR poster here at school, and it was taped up to the wall. But with the heat the tape has been getting less sticky and last night the poster was about to fall on my head (it was right over my bed). So I had to take it down, now there's a big gap in my wall. It's strange but when I look at that gap it just makes me realize how close we are to leaving for the summer. I guess after Mom and I pack up some of my things those will just be even more little reminders. silly, silly :)

Okey doke, not much going on for a Friday. Just lounging about trying to burn CDs before I leave school and don't have a burner at my disposal anymore. Today I latin I learned the verbs for anal, vaginal, and oral rape. From good 'ol Catullus! :) My big sister, who is a latin major, wrote her thesis about invective poetry and sexual slander type stuff, so she got to come give a presentation to our class. Then in Anc Greeks another senior gave her presentation on divine interference in greek tragedy and the importance of oracles. Good stuff! Days when you don't have to do much work should most definitely be appreciated. This weekend they are showing Ali here at school so maybe I'll go check that out. la la la froliky madness

Ok I don't feeling like doing more work, worked OUT over here. So instead I will tell you a little story about... me.
I have a pattern that I go through relating to the interenet, and I do it everyday. First I go to work, work is in the school's computer lab so basically I sit on my ass for a few hours doing homework, playing on the internet, chatting on AIM, and occasionally helping people print. When I get to work I first visit this website it's a donation type thing. You click once and help save land for big cats (tigers, leopards, jaguars) if you sign up for an account they keep track of how much land you've saved and you go through levels named after cats, lots of good stuff. I found this site sometime last year, so I'm pretty high up there on the levels and stuff. :) Then I usually follow the linkey trail and click on other sites. Help save the Rainforest/Praire/Wetlands, Pandas, and help stop Breast Cancer. I try to do it everyday so I feel a little better about myself, like I'm making a difference you know, it's small but it's something!
Then I go to theonering.net this really AWESOME Lord of the Rings site, I found it before FotR came out and just got addicted, they constantly update the news and most of my LotR trivia comes from here. I don't go there so much now since we're at a lull in between the next release, come Fall though I'll be all over it again. Now I'm starting to check out waitingforstarwars.com more and more, I like checking out the message board and seeing if they've added new pictures. The blond guy really likes to take close ups of his face, blankly starting at the camera and I think it's amusing!
Usually it's regular stuff after that, checking email/talking on AIM. Until I head on over to salon. Of course I found this site through TORn and became amazed. There are so many freakin' articles to check out! I feel more wordly after reading some of these, they make good convos too, trust me I'm a genius. This site comes in SUPER handy when used with salon too, or just in general, at least in my case. :D
Then after playing around at work I come back to my dorm and turn on the good 'ol lappy. The computer older and fussier than Father Time himself. Sweetness! It's cooled down.... A LOT because T-Storms rock! And I finished one of my papers! That means I only have one take home exam, another paper, and finals! That's it!!!! Well there's still other homework, but it's minor ya know. Anyways, that's all I've been doing today, writing about Euripides, Aeschylus, and Aristophanes, those crazy Greek mofos. This weekend is gonna be craziness though, my last two assignments are for the same class. :P bleh, at least it cooled down though and this weekend it's supposed to go back to the 60s and stay there! That's more like what I'm talking about.

For the moment at least... because me and the roomie are talking again, like normal, and I'm actually quite glad. Things in the room were getting very weird and it was messing with me mentally (things were depressing but thank GOD for friends! **Carrie**). So I guess it ended as simply as it started, I said something to Nausheena and she spoke back. Craziness. I'm just glad I didn't let it drag out anymore, I didn't want to leave school for summer not talking to her and knowing that I wouldn't see her again for another whole year. That woulda sucked big time. So I'll try to be positive for the last couple of days of school I have here, ya know, excluding excessive work or something. No one's totally happy 100% of the time. Today is a much better day for me, I checked out some of those roomate stories and damn, I don't have it that bad. At least she smells alright and doesn't steal my things. [thankful] I've already mentioned this to Carrie but I guess it's worth saying again, I'm tired of ignoring her = I am willing to sacrifice a bit of my pride and make amends, but how do I go about doing this?!?! That is now the current dilemma. It's hard to think about it too when you've got end of semester work being down your throat, namely just papers and tests. Hmmmmmmmmm, I dunno, only 30 mins of work left and I'm avoiding my latin. Which is ok because I should be working on my Anc Greeks paper. But I don't have the books I need at work, so I'll do Arch instead, oh the choices, the choices.

It sucks how just a few minutes can put someone into such a miserable mood. Today was fine, not perfect, but livable. Then I do my radio show, alone again but it wasn't the other DJs fault, and the next DJ is late. People can just suck, and my people skills can just suck too. Now I'm stuck in my room with my reading outloud dumbass of a roomate, it's hot as frick, and I'm just plain pissy. [CRY] I want to go hoooooooome!!!!

I'm grumpy and annoyed and frustrated and just all around ugly. this made me smile for an instant though Otherwise I might have just had to kill myself. I couldn't sleep last night, it took me an hour to feel like I wasn't melting into my sheets anymore even though every window was open to the max and the fan was going hardcore. Today is the day when I have a class with Nausheena and Elise and it was noooooo fun. Since I'm not talking to either one of them because they are spoiled, obnoxious bitches!! Elise will be so for eternity, Nausheena will be until she gives me THE APOLOGY SHE OWES ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's tough not talking to her since I LIVE with her, it's just a good thing during the day our schedules are pretty different but at night I just want to slam her face into the wall and watch the blood spatter all over the place. Just do it, I think it's actually kinda cool, a little strange... but cool! I dunno about the hotness, it's not to bad here and I would think that you'd be colder up north. I'm in the mountains though... who knows! It's nice though, having the windows open and the fans going. Spring has finally come and we can welcome nature once again! :) mmmm cheesyness. Either way nothing has been going on here except boring work and an ass load of reading for Anc Greeks. BLEH! My highlighter ran out of highlighting juice there was so much reading!! No matter though because I'm done now and leaving this place in 30 mins! To take another walk, that will be my third one for the week and I won't have to walk no mo' until Thursday, when the new week starts. I want to venture out to the lake again, and not get lost. Also if anyone happens to see a crazy man, brown hair, blue eyes with a big beer belly who keeps doing this thing with his fingers... that's my Dad. Ok since today was sooooo nice and all I decided I should pack in some miles for my aerobic walking class. I ended up almost getting lost in the woods of SBC. Usually I just wander the horse trails and look out for steaming piles but today I was tired of all that and decided to search for something NEW. I found it alright and spent 45 mins wandering about, I wasn't lost for the whole 45 mins it was more like 10-15, still being lost in the woods and knowing that no one knows where you are isn't the best feeling. Still now that I know where I was and how to get back there I found some cool sites on campus. Like this big waterfall that is formed by the dam on the lake and the lake itself, and lots and lots of huge, green fields. We seem to have an over abundance of huge, green fields here. Must have something to do with the whole plantation bit, who knows. Either way it was a nice walk! My roomate still SUCKS ASS though. Dammit.

oh my GOD! Today is just not so good, not at all. *Warning this is about to become a rant*
First off I did NOT get to sleep in to my satisfaction because the phone rang and woke me up. Then I guess my roomate thought since I was grumbling about that I was planning on getting up so she took the call in the room. How am I supposed to sleep with her stupid mouth running?!? So I got up and took the only shower stall left, which gave me minor satisfaction because the roomate then had to wait for another one to free up, nah nah. Passive Aggressive RULES! Nausheena (roomate) is just totally rubbing me the wrong way today. Right now it's the fact that in order to "learn" she must read out loud.... oh god don't get me started on the reading skills. It's not that she mispronounces or anything, in fact it's all mumbled into one spewfoam of sounds so I can't understand anyways and just block it out. It's just WHY does she have to read out loud??? I don't understand, I read silently and get things just fine, is her reading comprehension just plain bad? I know people learn different ways but I don't feel like being forgiving today.
I just have to tell myself two more weeks, then next year I won't even be living with her! And with karma working like it does I'll probably miss her, but if I think about that it will ruin my bad mood, whatever. >_<

mmm today was a good day!! :D got to sleep in, the weather has been good off again/on again. which is good because today is the singer songwriter festival!! Mucho spiffyness. I spent most of the day out there listening, eating, and hanging out at the booths. Since I'm badass and work at the RADIO STATION I got to meet some of the artists we were doing interviews with. Actually only two (Skott Freedman and Wally Pleasant) but they both rock! Wally rocks a bit more than Skott, ok a lot more, but still it's nice to get to meet not so ordinary people. Did I mention how cool Wally is? Definitely the most ADORABLE guy at the festival and his songs are funny as hell yo, he wanted to play wiffle ball with us, said he was going to give us free CDs, and if he would have a superpower it would either be lying, being the Distractor, or something else that I forgot. :( I'm a little infatuated, he's a kickass guy... what can I say? 0:) I'm taking a break for now, everyone had to run off and do the senior play it seems, so I worked on my collage and it is so close to being done!!! I'm excited!!!! PLUS we only have two more weeks of classes left, check that out!!!!!!!! hee hee YAY!

No no no it had to do with a horse dying and some cover up, buying of new horses, and a general lack of emotions that was pretty scary. It was linking to the money issue. Anyways Amherst hath renewed itself! Well it's Food Lion anyway, I went there today for groceries and I got FANTA!! It's been sooooooo long since I've had any and I love the stuff! I got addicted in [gasp] TENTH GRADE! What a weird little day! Yep, we when went abroad with Mrs. Bibb I got addicted to it, every meal there was good 'ol Fanta, and then I came back home and never saw it again. UNTIL TODAY!! Go Food Lion Go!! :D That and the other good time snacks I got are making me happy.

Today was really pretty, so I did some walking and discovered this road past the old barn on campus. The thing about the road though... it just stops, outta nowhere. I spent a good 20 mins walking through a field looking for this road and it wasn't there, nothing, nada, zip, zilch, GONE. Very strange, but it's pretty out there so I enjoyed myself. I could tell you some stories about the little rich SBC girls and what they do with Daddy's money. Apparently one girl from Texas drove down to Mexico for spring break and LOST HER CAR. This wasn't one of your used cars either, we're talking the fancy sports utility "vehicles". Well she lost the car, but no worries, she came back with a new one for spring semester. I have a disturbing horse story too. But I don't think Carrie would like it. Anways, apparently money buys everything. Or damn near everything. So how about buying my stay down under next year? daaaaaaaaaas right!

well i have no porn but i did find this and it's pretty fun. today was a slow and uneventful day but at least i'm clever! he he i'm just tired and bored which means i'm damn RESTLESS and have nothing to do. i want to tear up some magazines, my wall is so close to being done. i'll have to take some more pictures of it when i'm done. um i have nothing else to say, therefore i will say nothing.

Yea I've noticed that when I hit publish not everything seems to be kickin' in. [shrug] oh well, I can't fix the world on every day off ya know. Those pictures I scanned, it was a whopping 5 I think, are now on my picturetrail page! :D I have to scan some of the ones taken by the ship though, my family is INSANE! And they tend to look goofy in public. tee hee

Oh YES! I've got spring break pictures!!! Part of the ones I have are from an old roll, way back before Christmas that I finished on break. So most of the ones I scan won't actually be from break but from... before, yes. The people ones from break are the good ones anyways and those are still at home. :P

Yay! I didn't have Archaeology today, which is good because the class - peoplewise - SUCKS. I like the stuff we learn about and arch itself but some of those girls... ugh. :\ So I got to take a rest and finish my book (Goodkind Faith of the Fallen) It had a VERY GOOD ending and now I wish he would hurry up with the next book in the series. I was supposed to be working on my paper but that's due on the 29th aka light years from now! So why rush? ;) Now I've got a bit 'o time before work so I figure I'll lounge some more. I think I deserve it after the past two weeks, very crazy + lots of work = a muy stressed Brandy. I think this week will be calm before all the papers start being due again and the tests/quizzes start rolling in. So I will ENJOY and be BLISSFUL!!!! SPREAD THE HAPPINESS!!!!!! :D :D :D :D

Ok that said, the Daffodil Festival was COOL! :D It was cold outside but fun. I always like craft-showy type stuff. And I got a book signed by L.B. Taylor! He LOVES me!! In case you're not sure he writes those books like "Ghost Stories of Richmond, Tidewater, Virginia" all of those and I got a SIGNED copy of the Richmond one so we can go ghost hunting someday!! hehe
Hmm what else did I do... I saw Jess. We hung out and went and saw The Rookie good 'ole Disney film. One of those where you can leave smiling and with a little more faith in humankind. Or a little more hope for yourself, either way. ;) I also saw Life as a House and Blade II with Momma. The first was GOOD and made me cry, it kinda reminded me of American Beauty if you generalized it massively. Blade II was good too, but not as good as the first one I'm afraid. The fight scenes were BADASS, I wish I could kick ass like that and look that good doing it too. Plus I think the soundtrack to both of those sound like they'd be good, I'll have to check 'em out. That and I want to check out the new Peter Yorn CD, I've been hearing all these songs on the radio and I go to find out who's singing them and it's PETER YORN! Didn't even know who he was, but I like him now!! :D I've got CD cravings now... hmmmmmmm... that and I'm very HUNGRY (no lunch). Oh yes! I get to watch The Shining tonight for film class... ahhh THAT should be an interesting discussion tomorrow.

PLEASE! That's the second time I've heard someone mack on the name and in defense of some spot-on-the-wall yank town?!?! SAY WHA!!! >:O I actually liked the town. It's nice and small, staying away from that blasted city-type crap with loads of traffic, crime, and too many goddamn people. They say the city was actually built around the Cannon Mills Company because they had a big factory there. Maybe the name is linked to that... Cannon, Kanna; could be, kinda a stretch though maybe if you link it with a thick southern drawl, I could buy it. DID YOU KNOW: that the word polis means city-state in Ancient Greek. Well you do now, that's why a lot of city names end in polis, isn't that neat-o? I thought so too.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! This weekend was GOOD so damn GOOD! And now I'm tired as hell!! Let's see drove down Friday and it took about 3.5 hours. The traffic wasn't too bad until we hit Greensboro then it got a little crazy; especially where 29 and 85 meet up.

Elsbet went down with me so I'd have someone to chill with and to avoid weirdness with Dad's girlfriend. Turns out that their house is pretty nice and Julie is a very cool lady. I had a good time!! :D Hung out with Dad and Julie watching movies going out to eat. We went to this BAD ASS sushi restaurant that blasted techno music and showed anime on the tv monitors! That place ROCKED!!! They also showed the final four games so I'm somewhat updated in the world of college basketball. Then we went to this club called Amos' and saw two really good bands. The first was called Captain Easy, they were good, sounded a bit Pink Floydish which I of course liked! Then the headliner was this guy called Angie Aparo and my goodness can that man SING! He has a really amazing voice!!! Very good show except for the drunken women behind us violating our space with their breasts. OH OH OH! I had Krystals! They are these little square shaped burgers that are sooo cute and so good! I'd never had them before and I'm thinking we definitely need some in VA.
